I Love to read, getting lost in a book is just about my favorite way of spending an afternoon. With that in mind I created this bracelet that quite clearly lets everyone know that 1. I LOVE books and 2. they are a magical device that can transport to you any number of worlds. If you are as much of a book nerd as I am... and like the color pink, you will love this bracelet.

This is an update of an older and much beloved design. Some of the time when I run out of the beads to make a bracelet I just discontinue it, but there are several that I just love so much that I need to remake it. This is just one of thous designs. Over the next month or two I will be recreating a few of my bracelets and updating them on my site instead of bring you only new.

Yes, yes, I know, it's Friday. But I was super pretty yesterday and kind of forgot to write a blog post. It happens. Further proof that I'm human, or well, a scatter brained Time Lord, take your pick.
Not much has been going on with me personally as I've been taking some much needed down time due to coming down with a mild cold (stupid tree repopulation season), but Amy and I have been messing around with yet another social media site. For you style savvy people out there, you might have heard of a neat little website called Polyvore, and we're very excited to say that you can now find us over there too! For those of you unfamiliar with the site, think of it as a more complicated, fashion centered version of Pintrest. We've been having a lot of fun with it. Check it out!

Want to see more? Make sure you follow us there too! Same username as all ways.
That's it for now from me. Next weekend I'll be at the John Hopkins Spring Festival in Baltimore and then CreatorCon the following weekend in Silver Springs, Maryland! See you cats next time!

Here is a Discount Code for the whole month of April!
aprilflowers
This will get you 10% off your whole order

Instead of the normal discount for a one class of item bracelets, earrings, pendants. I am giving you 10% off your whole order this month. Yeah!
Now you might be thinking to yourself the quote is "April showers bring May flower" and you would be correct, but the quote really only works for colder climes. Here in the south our spring start earlier and our flowers in North Carolina bloom in April so in honer on my climate zone the discount is for April flowers. and you know it messes with peoples heads, so Bonce : )
Last year I tried to post a monthly special on the first Monday of that month and I am kicking that tradition off again. Since I was a bit slack for the beginning of the year, figured that this months should be particularly good. Also I have started to post the discounts for each month on Retail Me Not so you should be able to find the discounts there, just type in uniquecreationsbyamy.
Have Fun Shopping ; )

Lets go Monster Hunting with Sam and Dean Winchester!
Check out our NEW Supernatural Inspired Funky Bracelet.

This is not not so much a brand new product being added to my site more a revision of an awesome bracelet. If you have wandered around my site in the past you most likely have seen a Supernatural inspired item or 2 and yes a Funky Bracelet was one of thous things. However I have a tendency to get board and like to change things up now and then. Not so often that you will get whiplash, but often enough to amuse me. I like this design a lot so if I do change it again this year it will not be a big change. However since It is new-ish I thought I would let everyone know.
Hope you Love this bracelet as much as I do.

Hey there, Tig again! Wowee, what a weekend it was. As you might have known, I was at (Re)Generation Who 2 in Hunt Valley, Maryland this past weekend and it was AMAZING. I didn't even really get to experience the entire convention (downsides to having to work the event) but I got to meet some really fantastic people, made new friends, and even got to reconnect with a few who I haven't seen in YEARS.
First of all, my weekend started out when I got to hang out with some of my best friends who I met a long, long time ago at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. They took me to the most amazing sushi restaurant I have been to in a long, long time. Seriously, if you live any where near Bel Air, do yourself a favor and go to Bamboo Gardens. It's a brand new place (like they'll have only been open for two or three weeks at this point) and they have hands down some of the best Asian food ever. They do Japanese and Chinese food in addition to their amazing sushi.

Dragon (the pretty ones with the avocado on top) and tuna rolls.

Lobster tempura roll, a super spicy roll that I can't remember the name of right now featuring tempura jalepeno and spicy tuna on top, and then salmon and white fish sashimi.

Their version of the classic Dynamite roll, featuring a torched scallop on top!
All that awesomeness happened even BEFORE I got to the con itself. I didn't grab too many photos like a bad monkey, but I did get some pretty awesome shots of our customers, my neighbor, and two of my favorite cosplays from the weekend.

One of our customers, who was cosplaying as a Dalek, bought our EXTERMINATE Funky Bracelet!

This guy was pretty fantastic. He later changed into a gold shirt.

This was one of my neighbor's, Tangent Artists, cosplay on Saturday. Definitely was a crowd favorite.

And these pretties were made by the best neighbor a girl could ever hope for, Jen of A Geek and Her Machine! I may or may not have been drooling over them all weekend. While these belong to me, you can find more of her incredible hand made bags over on her Facebook!
Well, that's about it for now. I have the weekend off (what's that?) and then will be in Greenville, South Carolina for SC Comic Con! Come by and see me in the Artist Alley at booth #828!
Til next time!

Oh the struggle to let people know Anime and Cartoons are not the same thing. Now you don't have to you can let you earring tell people off with out expending any effort of your own... just the way I like it.

On a completely different note.

Woweee, what a blast I had last week! As you may remember, I was going to Orlando, Florida to do Omni Expo this past weekend. Well, I was able to go down a few days early and visit a friend of mine who's super awesome and works for Universal Studios, so I got to go for the first time ever! Needless to say I kind of fan girl'd out...A LOT. I bought my own wand at Olivander's and had way more fun than any adult is suppose to have running around and triggering all the events that you can at the Harry Potter Wizarding World. I swear it also had nothing to do with the fact that I was also getting to drink beer specially crafted for Wizarding World, thus making my craft beer nerd and regular nerd stupidly happy.
I didn't get a ton of photos, nor did I get any while I was at Omni Expo (which if you're in the area next year I highly recommend that you check them out as an attendee), but I hope you enjoy what I did take!
The Hogwarts Express going from Diagon Alley to Hogsmeade.
Beer taps inside Hog's Head Tavern at Hogsmeade, the only place where you can get my favorite of their three exclusive beers - Hog's Head! The hog's head behind the bar was animated, by the way!
The entrance to the Jurassic Park area of Island of Adventure.
The sign over the entrance to Hogsmeade which says, "Please Respect the Spell Limits."
Anyway, stay tuned, this weekend I'm off to do two craft shows in Raleigh and then next weekend I'll be traveling up to Hunt Valley, Maryland for (Re)Generation Who! See you crazy cats next time!

A chilling story of when Ladybugs Attack!
or Not

It is said that when a ladybug lands on you, you should stand very still and count it's spots before it can fly away because that will tell you how many months of good fortune it has blessed you with by landing on you. Ladybugs also like to gather around each other, so the more ladybugs around the more likely luck will land on you.
With that in mind I created this fun and ladybug covered Funky Bracelet. All 5 of it's charm depict pictures of ladybugs and I also added some lovely and large ladybug beads. And of course the beads are in the classic black and red ladybug pattern with just a touch of frosted crystal to brighten it up. I think this one turned out particularly well.
If one funky bracelet is not enough luck here are the other ladybug items I have for you.

Hope you have some fun attracting ladybugs.

Oh Senpai Notice Me!
I know this is hard to believe, but I was goofing of on Pinterest one day and saw this picture...

A teacher posted something that one of her "cleaver" students had done instead of answering the question or maybe it was a cleaver teen that posted their own answer. Not exactly sure since Pinterest dose not give great detail about that sort of thing. However I digress... Since I am super into Math jokes and Anime and when ever I can combine the two my little geeky brain just dies in a fit of the feels, I had to make these earrings for everyone to enjoy.

Hope your saying to your self "OMG I NEED THESE!!" Cause yeah I gave myself a pair : )
